Performance Opportunities
Here at the Academy we believe that all students thrive from as many different performance opportunities as possible.
The school hold annual shows at prestigious Nottingham Theatres to an enthusiastic audience. All pupils appear in this professional production with an array of spectacular costumes and choreography, covering all aspects of dance.
Alongside the schools own shows, pupils participate in productions locally and around the countries such as Chance2Dance Alton Towers, Arnold Carnival and School Fetes.
The Academy also have a very successful Dance Competition & Festival team who compete all over the country .
Competitions & Festivals help to develop performance and confidence and help pupils who wish to take up a career in dance and theatre.
Entry is by invite from the Principal.
Pupils wishing to participate in Festivals must attend all core classes plus private lessons and festival rehearsal workshop days.
Pupils dedication, attendance, exam results and ability to work as a soloist are all taken into consideration we choosing who will compete on the team.
A lot of rehearsing and private lessons are involved, but all the hard work really pays of when you see all the students enjoying what they love doing, making new friends and showing such amazing confidence. I am always so proud of my pupils.
